ISLAMABAD: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday inaugurated the DIY Art Exhibition at a local mall in Islamabad.
Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir and High Commissioner of Maldives Mohammad Mohamed Thoha were also present on the occasion.
The governor and other guests visited the stalls and took a special interest in the artworks there. He appreciated various art forms such as traditional handicrafts, calligraphy, pottery, and other local artifacts, that featured in the exhibition.
Faisal Karim Kundi praised the efforts of the artists taking part in the exhibition and said that such platforms play a key role in keeping the socio-cultural heritage alive. He added there is a need to exhibit such delicate works regularly so that our future generations can be brought closer to their culture and rich heritage.
He further said that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will always be at the forefront of providing such artistic opportunities and will fully support the promotion of art and culture in the province.
Artists from all over the country participated in this exhibition. The exhibition was open to the public and a large number of people took special interest in the event.
