RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed eight terrorists linked to the Indian proxy group “Fitna Al Hindustan” during two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Saturday.
According to the military’s media wing, the operations were conducted in Kharan and Mastung districts on June 25 and 26 after credible intelligence reports about terrorist movement and hideouts.
Operations in Kharan and Mastung
The ISPR said the first operation was carried out in Kharan district on June 25, where security forces engaged a group of terrorists after receiving information about their movement.
During the operation, three terrorists belonging to “Fitna Al Hindustan” were killed, while several others were injured.
A second operation was conducted in Mastung district on June 26, where security forces targeted a terrorist hideout. After an intense exchange of fire, five terrorists, including a suspected suicide bomber, were killed.
Weapons and explosives recovered
The ISPR said weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices and motorcycles used by the terrorists were recovered from the sites.
Clearance operations were continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining threat and ensure public safety.
The military’s media wing said Pakistan’s security forces remain determined to eradicate terrorism and that counterterrorism operations under the national Azm-e-Istehkam campaign would continue with full resolve.
