The Paigham-i-Islam conference was organised by the International Tazeem-i-Haramain Sharifain Council and Pakistan Ulema Council in Islamabad.

The conference also voiced concern over strikes targeting Arab countries, describing them as harmful to regional stability.

It called for strengthened national security, greater unity within the Muslim world, and enhanced interfaith harmony.

Also present were Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Palestinian ambassador Dr. Zuhair Mohammad Hamdallah Zaid, Grand Mufti of Palestine Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, and Chief Justice of Palestine Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbash.

Highlighting defence cooperation, Ashrafi in his remarks described the Pakistan–Saudi Arabia strategic partnership as a significant development for the Muslim world, noting that such collaboration could contribute to strengthening collective security among Islamic nations.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, addressing the conference, said that Islamabad desires a permanent end to the US-Iran conflict for regional peace and stability.

The Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s mediation efforts, noting that these had helped open channels for negotiations between the US and Iran.

He expressed confidence that the dialogue would soon lead to lasting peace in the region, without further loss of human life.

Describing Pakistan’s role as historic, he said that history would remember the country’s efforts in golden words.

He also commended the contributions of the Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, for his role in securing a ceasefire and facilitating talks.
