ISLAMABAD: The identification of a suicide attacker involved in a recent attack in Gwadar had exposed a false “missing persons” narrative promoted by the Paank propaganda organisation for the banned terrorist groups and the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC).

The suicide bomber, identified as Attaullah, son of Gaji Khan, had previously been propagated by Paank as a missing person but was later found to be associated with the banned terrorist group, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).

The latest incident showed that terrorist organisations were being portrayed as victims under the guise of human rights advocacy, security analysts said.

Paank and so-called human rights organisations like it have become spokespersons for terrorist groups, analysts said.

“The recent BLA attack is open terrorism, which is strongly condemned,” an analyst said.

“Terrorists are terrorists; they cannot be portrayed as missing persons or political activists,” according to security analysts.

The Attaullah case was not isolated. In several previous attacks, in which individuals listed by Paank as missing persons were later identified as terrorists of banned terrorist groups.

Earlier, Saalim Baloch had been propagated as a missing person before being identified as a member of the BLA terrorist group.

Similarly, Mahil Baloch, who had been portrayed as a missing woman, was later identified as a suicide bomber of the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) terrorist group.

Paank has become a shield for fake disappearances of BLA and BLF terrorist groups, analysts said.

In another case, Khair-un-Nisa had appeared on Paank’s missing persons list, who was later arrested during suicide bomber training.

Khair-un-Nisa had earlier exposed Paank’s true identity before the media. Reports of the propaganda group for the banned terrorist groups are full of fake figures to falsely show terrorists as victims. Paank’s fake reports became a means of hiding the terrorism of BLA and BLF.

All missing person cases of Paank, including Attaullah, son of Gaji Khan, are linked to terrorists, analysts said.

Similarly, Hamdan, another individual listed by Paank as missing, was later arrested for facilitating terrorist activities. Hamdan’s arrest exposed Paank’s true face once again.

Paank is involved in publishing reports containing false figures and portraying terrorists as victims while shielding members of banned terrorist groups.

Externally supported terrorist groups, including the BLA, BLF and the Baloch Republican Army (BRA), were pursuing a campaign to destabilise Pakistan through terrorist violence and false propaganda.

The BLA terrorist group is acting against the people of Balochistan by targeting civilians, workers, development projects and public infrastructure. The terrorist group is the biggest enemy of peace, progress and prosperity of Balochistan, analysts said.

“Externally sponsored and financially supported banned terrorist groups are pursuing a nefarious agenda to destabilise Pakistan. Propaganda videos cannot change the ground realities; the terrorists are doomed to defeat,” analysts said.

Pakistan’s security forces will continue to pursue and eliminate every terrorist, every facilitator and every terrorist network, analysts said.

“Peace, statehood and development in Balochistan will be ensured at all costs,” analysts said.

Pakistan calls on the United Nations to designate BLA, BLF and BRA as global terrorist organisations and take effective action against their financial, diplomatic and propaganda networks.

Terrorism will be eradicated, and Balochistan will continue to move forward on the path of peace, stability and development.
