RIYADH:  The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has unveiled identification bracelets designed to help quickly reunite lost or separated children with their guardians during peak pilgrimage periods.

The Authority said the bracelets include guardians’ contact information and are part of broader efforts to enhance safety and crowd management for families visiting the holy site, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.

The identification bracelets are being provided to children upon arrival at the Grand Mosque and are available at King Abdulaziz Gate and King Fahd Gate.

Dedicated staff assist guardians in registering their contact details to ensure accurate and swift identification if a child becomes separated.

Officials said the service forms part of an integrated safety system aimed at supporting parents, improving emergency response, and maintaining smooth operations within the mosque and its courtyards.

Guardians have been urged to make use of the bracelets, particularly during busy seasons such as Umrah and Hajj, to ensure a safer and more reassuring experience for families.
