The spokesperson further said that Guterres reiterated a call for North Korea “to immediately cease from taking any further provocative acts.”

Earlier, military officials of South Korea said that North Korea launched an indefinite ballistic missile. North Korea fired the missile following joint air exercise of South Korea and the US.

The US held air exercises bilaterally with Japan, and South Korea. South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said that the air exercise showed the allies defense readiness.
