DUBAI, UAE: The latest ICC Women’s T20I rankings have brought mixed news for Pakistan players, with two bowlers making their mark in the top ten while captain Fatima Sana slipped in the all-rounder standings.

Pakistan bowlers hold strong in top ten

Left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal continues to be Pakistan’s highest-ranked bowler, holding steady at the sixth position with 710 rating points. She remains the top-ranked Pakistani bowler in the T20I format, sitting just behind England’s Lauren Bell and ahead of her compatriot Nashra Sandhu.

Nashra Sandhu, another left-arm spinner, occupies the ninth spot with 693 rating points, making it two Pakistan bowlers in the elite top ten. The duo has been instrumental in Pakistan’s bowling attack, consistently troubling batters with their accurate line and length.

The bowling rankings are led by India’s Shree Charani with 759 points, followed by England’s Sophie Ecclestone (723) and Charlie Dean (722).

Fatima Sana slips in all-rounder rankings

Pakistan captain Fatima Sana has dropped one place to seventh position in the all-rounder rankings with 333 rating points. The talented all-rounder was overtaken by Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner, who jumped a spot to sixth.

Fatima remains Pakistan’s sole representative in the top ten all-rounders, with West Indies’ Hayley Matthews leading the chart with 502 rating points, followed by New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr (465) and Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu (376), who shares third spot with Ireland’s Orla Prendergast.

No Pakistan batters in top ten

The batting rankings, however, feature no Pakistan player in the top ten. Australia’s Beth Mooney has climbed to the top spot with 785 rating points after her player of the tournament performance in the T20 World Cup, overtaking teammate Georgia Voll (779). South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt remains third with 771 points.

Pakistan’s batters will need to step up in future tournaments to break into the elite list, which is currently dominated by Australian, Indian, and South African players.
