LAHORE: Pakistan is set to host a tri-nation One-day International (ODI) series in October-November this year, with England and Sri Lanka confirmed as the participating teams.

Sri Lanka Cricket has officially confirmed its involvement in the series during its tour of Pakistan. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has also agreed to take part in the multi-team event.

According to PCB officials, the final schedule for the ODI series is expected to be finalised in the coming weeks.

Before the tri-nation tournament, Sri Lanka will likely play a three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series in Pakistan. As per the Future Tours Programme (FTP), Sri Lanka’s tour also includes a two-match Test series, which forms part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27.

The T20Is are expected in October, followed by the ODI tri-series, while the Test matches are likely in November.

Pakistan has recent success in T20I tri-series, winning two such events last year—one hosted by the Emirates Cricket Board (featuring Afghanistan and the UAE) and another at home against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is also scheduled to play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh in May, as part of the World Test Championship. The first Test will be in Dhaka (8–12 May) and the second in Sylhet (16–20 May).

Experienced batter Shan Masood will captain the side, which includes five uncapped players: Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori.
