ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar has held a series of high-level meetings with counterparts from several nations on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026 in Antalya and discussed regional developments.

In his meeting with Elmedin Konaković, Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, both sides reaffirmed the deep-rooted historical ties between Pakistan and Bosnia & Herzegovina, a Foreign Office statement said on Friday.

They acknowledged the enduring support extended to each other during times of hardship and emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations.

The two leaders also exchanged views on evolving regional developments and expressed a shared commitment to closer cooperation.

Senator Dar also met with Khalilur Rahman, Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, the Foreign Office said. The discussion focused on enhancing Pakistan–Bangladesh relations, with both sides agreeing to pursue a positive and forward-looking engagement.

They also deliberated on key regional issues, including Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue for peace and stability.

He also met with Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State for Trade and Industry of Singapore, in Antalya. “As we mark 60 years of Pakistan–Singapore diplomatic relations, we reaffirmed our commitment to further strengthening cooperation across all sectors, including at the multilateral level,” the Foreign Office said.

“We also exchanged views on regional developments. Ms. Huang expressed strong support for and appreciation of Pakistan’s efforts to promote dialogue and diplomacy for the peaceful resolution of issues in the region,” it added.

Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination to promote mutual benefits.

Additionally, Senator Dar met with Jeong Yeondoo, Vice Minister for Strategy and Intelligence at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea. Vice Minister Yeondoo appreciated Pakistan’s sustained diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability both regionally and globally.

These engagements at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026 underscore Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic stance and its commitment to building constructive international partnerships while addressing shared global challenges.

The fifth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum opened in Türkiye on Friday, bringing together foreign ministers from key regional countries, including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, as efforts intensify to end the ongoing Middle East conflict.

Held under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and hosted by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the three-day forum is taking place in the Mediterranean city of Antalya under the theme “Mapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties”.

More than 150 countries are represented, including over 20 heads of state and government and around 15 deputy leaders. The gathering also includes more than 50 ministers — over 40 of them foreign ministers — alongside representatives from 75 international organisations.

In total, more than 460 high-level participants and nearly 5,000 attendees, including academics and students, are expected to take part.

Participants from Africa and Europe account for nearly half of the attending heads of state, while foreign ministers are primarily from Africa, Europe, and Asia, reflecting the forum’s broad geographic reach.

The programme features more than 40 panels and events, including leadership-level discussions on political, economic, environmental, and technological challenges, with a focus on an evolving global landscape.
