LAHORE, Pakistan: Acclaimed Pakistani actress and writer Mira Sethi has confirmed her divorce from Bilal Siddiqui.

Recognised for her roles in television dramas such as Kuch Ankahi, Janam, Paristan, Silvatain, and Chupke Chupke, Mira comes from a prominent media family.

Her parents are respected journalists and television personalities, while her brother, Ali Sethi, is a well-known singer.

She and Bilal Siddiqui were married in November 2019 in California after several years together. During a recent interview on a digital platform, Mira disclosed that the marriage ended in March 2023.

Emotionally difficult

Reflecting on that period, she described it as emotionally difficult. “A few months after Kuch Ankahi, I got divorced. While shooting the drama, I was going through an incredibly tender and intense period. I was grateful to have work that helped ground me. I would get up and head to set,” she said, adding that colleagues like Sajal, Ahmed, and director Nadeem Baig offered her kindness and support.

Following her remarks, fans and peers have expressed admiration for her candour, applauding the strength she showed during a challenging phase in her life.
