NOUAKCHOTT: A medical team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has carried out around 321 specialized surgeries in Néma, Mauritania from October 9 to 16, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The SPA reported that the medical team, as part of the Saudi Noor volunteer program to combat blindness and its causes, carried out screenings for 3,150 people and provided around 825 eyeglasses during the period.
The endeavor is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) volunteer medical projects undertaken via KSrelief to aid patients and people affected by eye diseases in nations and communities across the world.
