SRINAGAR: Indian forces continued their acts of state terrorism in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the martyrdom of 17 Kashmiris, including a young boy, in the month of September.
According to data from the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, 14 of those killed were victims of extrajudicial executions and staged encounters.
During the month, authorities arrested at least 196 civilians and political activists, many of whom were charged under repressive laws such as the Public Safety Act (PSA) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
Furthermore, troops conducted 151 cordon-and-search operations and house raids, damaging at least one residence in the process.
