Saudi Shura Council Discusses Strengthening of Ties with Benin Parliament

PORTO-NOVO, Benin:  A delegation of the Saudi-Beninese Shura Council Parliamentary Friendship Committee has discussed ways to strengthen cooperation with the National Assembly of Benin, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

The delegation, was led by the acting chairman of the committee Dr. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Salama, held a meeting with the Beninese-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the Benin National Assembly headed by Sophia Haroun in Benin capital, Porto-Novo.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of the ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Benin in various areas, especially parliamentary ties, and the means to expand them in the field of parliamentary work between the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia and the National Assembly of Benin.

They also discussed matters and issues of mutual interest.
