RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman has affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to Sudan’s stability and the preservation of its sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
The Saudi Crown Prince made the remarks during a phone call with the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
The Crown Prince also reiterated Saudi Arabia’s support for all efforts to achieve stability in Sudan, paving the way for comprehensive development and the return of displaced persons and refugees to their homes.

In April this year, the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan in Jeddah.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the latest developments in Sudan, along with their implications and ongoing efforts to address the situation.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Sudan’s security and stability, while preserving its sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
Saudi Arabia and Sudan share longstanding ties rooted in historical, cultural, and economic links, strengthened by their proximity across the Red Sea.

Saudi Arabia has consistently supported Sudan through humanitarian aid, development assistance, and diplomatic engagement.
The two countries also cooperate on regional security, investment, and trade, with Saudi Arabia playing a key role in efforts to promote stability in Sudan.
In recent years, Riyadh has supported dialogue initiatives and provided economic assistance aimed at helping Sudan achieve peace and sustainable development.
