RIYADH: Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, has received the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Riyadh, with whom he discussed regional developments, with a particular focus on the latest developments in Palestine.
They also explored ways to strengthen the close bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and to enhance cooperation across various fields, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
Senior officials from both sides were also present at the meeting.
Sheikh Mohamed arrived in Riyadh earlier on Wednesday, where he was welcomed at King Khalid International Airport by the Crown Prince — a gesture highlighting the strong and longstanding ties between the two Gulf neighbors.
Last month, Saudi Arabia and France co-hosted a major conference aimed at rallying global support for recognising Palestinian statehood as essential for achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.
According to the Gaza health ministry, more than 63,000 people — the majority of them civilians — have been killed in Gaza. Reports also accuse Israel of using starvation as a weapon of war against the population.
