LAHORE: Cricket and music will merge in a spectacular celebration on Sunday as the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 closing ceremony brings together some of the nation’s biggest singing sensations, including Atif Aslam and Ali Azmat, ahead of the grand finale at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

According to official details, the closing ceremony will feature electrifying performances by renowned artists such as Atif Aslam, Ali Azmat, Arif Lohar, Aima Baig, and the Sabri Sisters. A dazzling fireworks display has also been planned as part of the colourful festivities.

PCB chairman reviews arrangements

A high-level meeting chaired by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi conducted a detailed review of all preparations for both the summit clash and the closing ceremony. Senior PCB officials, including Chief Operating Officer Syed Sumair Ahmad and PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer, attended the meeting.

During the session, final touches were given to the ceremony’s production and logistics to ensure a seamless experience for spectators.

Naqvi urges early arrival for fans

PCB Chairman Naqvi emphasized the importance of world-class arrangements for the mega event and directed authorities to prioritise the comfort and convenience of spectators.

“We must ensure the best possible and outstanding arrangements at every level for this mega event. Special attention should be given to the convenience and comfort of cricket fans,” Naqvi said.

He also advised fans to arrive at the stadium by 6 PM to fully enjoy the entire closing ceremony spectacle. “Cricket fans must reach the stadium by 6 PM to fully enjoy the grand closing ceremony,” he added.

The closing ceremony will be held just before the PSL 11 final, which features table-toppers Peshawar Zalmi taking on debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen.

The Kingsmen earned their spot in the title clash with a thrilling two-run victory over three-time champions Islamabad United in Eliminator 2 at the same venue on Friday.
