ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday reaffirmed Pakistan’s complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia during a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, strongly condemning recent Houthi attacks on the kingdom’s civilian and economic infrastructure.
Prime Minister Sharif said the Houthi attacks threatened regional peace and security and could further disrupt the global economy and energy supplies, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.
He also reiterated Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the Houthi actions and expressed solidarity with the Saudi leadership and people.
“During their warm and most cordial conversation, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the recent attacks by Houthis on Saudi Arabia’s civilian and economic infrastructure,” the Prime Minister’s Office stated.

Prime Minister Sharif said that the recent Houthi actions threatened regional peace and security and could further disrupt the global economy and energy supplies.
“While expressing complete solidarity with the Saudi leadership as well as the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister stated that the recent Houthi actions threatened regional peace and security and could further disrupt the global economy and energy supplies,” the Prime Minister’s Office stated.

Prime Minister Sharif added that he, along with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, would continue their efforts for defusing tensions and bringing peace in the region.
Saudi Crown Prince appreciated Pakistan’s support
In this regard, the Prime Minister lauded the Saudi Crown Prince for his wise and sagacious leadership throughout the crisis.
“I deeply appreciate His Royal Highness’s wise and sagacious leadership during these challenging times,” Prime Minister Sharif said in a statement on X.

“The Prime Minister also availed himself of this occasion to convey his warm wishes and respectful regards for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,” the Prime Minister’s Office stated.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman appreciated Pakistan for its steadfast support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as its efforts for peace and stability in the region.
The two leaders agreed to continue to remain in close contact, and looked forward to meeting each other at an early date.
Pakistan reaffirms unwavering support for Saudi Arabia
Pakistan on Thursday reaffirmed its unwavering support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and prosperity, and stands in full solidarity with its leadership, government and brotherly people.
Foreign Office spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan at his weekly media briefing said that Pakistan will continue to support efforts aimed at promoting lasting peace and stability in the region.
“Pakistan strongly condemns the reprehensible Houthi attacks targeting civilian and economic sites in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” he said.

Earlier, spokesman for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen (Coalition Forces), Major General Turki Al-Malki, said that terrorist Houthi militia attacks on the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran injured 73 civilians, including women and children.
The spokesperson said that on Sunday, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also held discussions with the Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia and Turkiye.

“These calls covered bilateral relations, regional and international developments, and follow-up on understandings reached under the Strategic Political and Defence Committee of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement,” the spokesperson added.
Pakistan stands with Saudi Arabia
Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Sharif strongly condemned the Houthi attacks targeting civilian and energy facilities in Saudi Arabia, reaffirming Islamabad’s steadfast support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
Prime Minister Sharif expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia after the attacks left dozens of people injured.
In a statement posted on X, the prime minister said he condemned the attacks “in the strongest terms” and stood firmly with the Saudi leadership and people.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed solidarity with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and the “brotherly people” of Saudi Arabia.
He said attacks targeting civilian and economic infrastructure threatened innocent lives and undermined peace and security across the region.
The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s “steadfast support” for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. He also prayed for the swift recovery of all those injured in the attacks.
Islamabad and Riyadh maintain longstanding strategic and diplomatic relations, with Islamabad repeatedly expressing support for the Kingdom’s security and territorial integrity.
