Pakistan’s PSL Franchise Enters Italy T10 League as Two Teams Join Six-Team Tournament

Quetta Gladiators to compete as Rome Gladiators, while Mian Channu businessman acquires Brescia Lions ownership.

ISLAMABAD: Two Pakistani-backed teams will feature in the Italy T10 League, bringing Pakistan’s cricketing presence to the six-team tournament scheduled to be held in Rome from November 18 to 29.

Quetta Gladiators enter as Rome Gladiators

The Quetta Gladiators, one of the established franchises of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), will participate in the tournament under the name Rome Gladiators.

Quetta Gladiators owner Nadeem Omar signed the franchise ownership agreement on behalf of the team during a ceremony held for the league’s franchise arrangements.

Brescia Lions acquired by Pakistani owner

Meanwhile, Mian Channu’s Mian Asif Nadeem has acquired the ownership rights of the Brescia Lions, adding another Pakistani-backed franchise to the Italian tournament.

Separate signing ceremonies were held to formalise the franchise ownership agreements.

The Italy T10 League will feature local players alongside four international cricketers in each team, giving the competition a diverse international character.

Platform for emerging Pakistani talent

The Gladiators management expressed hope that participation in the league would give Pakistan’s emerging cricketers valuable opportunities to showcase their skills on an international platform.

The tournament is also expected to provide players with overseas experience while helping promote Pakistan’s cricketing talent internationally.
