ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy has successfully rescued 19 stranded fishermen from the northern Arabian Sea, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Office said on Thursday, as the premier praised the Navy for its swift response and humanitarian assistance during the operation.
According to the prime minister, Pakistan Navy warship PNS Taimur carried out the rescue operation and safely evacuated all 19 crew members from a distressed fishing vessel.

The rescued crew comprised 11 Pakistani and eight Iranian nationals.
Successful Rescue Operation
The Pakistan Navy said the fishing vessel Al Jalali became stranded about 120 nautical miles south of Gwadar after suffering an engine failure.
The rescue mission, coordinated through the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC), was carried out by PNS Taimur, which safely reached the vessel despite rough monsoon conditions in the North Arabian Sea.

All 19 crew members — including 11 Pakistanis and eight Iranian nationals — were rescued safely. Naval personnel also provided food, drinking water and medical assistance before towing the vessel towards shore.
