JEDDAH: The number of martyred Palestinians from the ongoing Israeli ground and air offensive against Palestinians has soared to 847 in the last week, reported the OIC Observatory on Tuesday.
According to the report, out of them, 843 deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip alone and four in the West Bank cities between January 30 and February 5, 2024.
During this period, the report said, the number of wounded Palestinians climbed to 1,477, a result of 96 massacres committed by Israeli occupation forces.
The report said that Israeli total violations in Palestinian territories have soared to 3,331 incidents, encompassing killings, injuries, arrests, demolitions, assaults on mosques, checkpoints, road closures, shootings, land confiscations, settlement expansions, and settler attacks on cities and towns.
International reports from UN agencies have observed hundreds of thousands of Palestinians seeking refuge in southern Gaza from Israeli bombings, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in Rafah, with an estimated 1.9 million displaced individuals across Gaza. On February 2, 2024, reports estimated that 100,000 Palestinians were “killed, injured, or missing” due to Israeli aggression.
The crisis has intensified, leading to a dire shortage of food, drinking water, fuel, shelter, and basic necessities for survival. In the West Bank, Israeli forces have detained 219 Palestinians in cities such as Ramallah, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Salfit, Jenin, Nablus, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Hebron, and Tubas, reported The OIC Observatory.

Settler attacks surged this week, with 25 assaults targeting cities like Hebron, Nablus, Ramallah, and Jericho, alongside the construction of 708 new settlement units in the West Bank.
Jewish extremists continued to intrude upon the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque from January 30 to February 5, 2024, except for February 4, when occupation forces permitted limited access for worshippers but imposed restrictions during Friday prayers, limiting attendance to just 13,000 individuals after denying access to worshippers from the West Bank cities.
