SEOUL: Military officials of South Korea said on Monday that North Korea launched an indefinite ballistic missile, Western media reported.
South Korea says N Korea Fires another missile
South Korea’s Joint Chief of Staff also confirmed that North Korea launched another indefinite ballistic missile. According to AFP, it was the second missile fired by North Korea within less than 48 hours. North Korea fired the recent missile after joint air exercise of US and South Korea.
On Sunday, the US held joint air exercises bilaterally with South Korea and Japan. According to South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff the exercise showed the allies defense abilities and readiness.
Similarly, Japan’s Ministry of Defense said it flew F-15s over Japan’s sea with the US B-1 bombers and F-16s in air exercises. It added that the exercise reaffirms the strong will between the Washington and Tokyo to reply to any situation.
According to the state-run news agency Yonhap, the South Korean army said that North Korea fired an unnamed ballistic missile toward the East Sea on Monday.
