LAHORE: Pakistan Super League season 11 closing ceremony turned into a vibrant celebration at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday, bringing together music, energy, and cricket fandom to captivate audiences across the world.

The glittering ceremony, which took place just before the final match between Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen, featured electrifying performances from some of Pakistan’s biggest musical stars.

Ali Azmat energised the crowd with several hits, including his iconic ‘Josh-e-Junoon,’ while Arif Lohar enthralled spectators with renditions of favourites such as ‘Sadke Jawan.’

Performances by Atif Aslam and Aima Baig further set the tone for an electrifying evening, with the crowd responding with equal enthusiasm.

The return of fans to the stadium added a renewed sense of excitement, turning the event into more than just a ceremony, it became a shared experience. A vibrant fireworks display heightened the atmosphere, while a special segment showcasing the PSL trophy added to the spectacle.

Legendary cricketers Wasim Akram and Zaheer Abbas presented the PSL 11 trophy, named “Infinity”, on stage.

Presenters also highlighted the significance of the occasion, noting that despite earlier hurdles that kept fans away, the stadium was now filled, evidence of the enduring passion for the league.

As fireworks lit up the sky, the moment captured the spirit of the league and the connection it continues to build with audiences across the country.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi witnessed the closing ceremony and the glamorous fireworks before the start of the final.

Notably, spectators had initially been barred from attending matches due to fuel conservation measures introduced by the government amid rising global oil prices.

However, Naqvi later granted approval for fans to attend the final and the three playoff matches, making the packed stadium a triumphant moment for the league.
