GAZA CITY: The health ministry in the besieged Gaza Strip said on Friday that at least 37 more Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza, bringing the overall death toll since last year to 45,436.
The ministry also said that some 108,038 others were wounded in the ongoing assault.
“Israeli forces killed 37 people and injured 98 others in three massacres of families in the last 24 hours,” the ministry said.
“Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.

Israel has continued strikes on the Gaza Strip since a Hamas attack on October 7 last year despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military on Friday raided the Kamal Adwan Hospital, one of only three medical facilities in the Gaza Strip, ordering dozens of patients and hundreds of others to evacuate the complex.
The operation followed an announcement from the hospital on Thursday that five of its staff members had been killed in an Israeli strike.
“The occupation forces are inside the hospital now and they are burning it,” Munir Al-Bursh, director of the health ministry besieged Gaza, said in a statement.
On November 21, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity related to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
Additionally, Israel is facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its deadly actions in Gaza.
Multiple reports indicate that Israel has been intentionally blocking the entry of food, water, medicine, and other vital supplies into Gaza. Furthermore, Israeli forces have repeatedly targeted aid convoys and civilians attempting to gather the limited aid that manages to reach the region.
An independent panel of aid experts has reported that nearly half of the Palestinian population in Gaza is facing severe hunger, with many going days without food. Palestinian authorities have stated that dozens of children have starved to death.
In the al-Mawasi refugee camp in southern Gaza, three infants have tragically died from the cold in recent days due to the ongoing blockade, which has cut off food, water, and essential winter supplies. The most recent victim was a three-week-old baby girl, who froze to death overnight on Tuesday.
