ISLAMABAD: The killing of a judge in Balochistan has raised questions about close links between the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) terrorist groups, as the attack was carried out by the BLA terrorists; however, ISKP claimed responsibility for the attack.
The banned BLA terrorist group is involved in terrorist attacks targeting civilians and public infrastructure in Balochistan. Innocent people continue to lose their lives due to attacks carried out by terrorist groups such as BLA.
The terrorist group is targeting public infrastructure, especially bridges and roads, which is severely affecting transportation, businesses, emergency services and the daily lives of ordinary citizens.
The people of Balochistan bear the brunt of the terrorist group’s attacks on public infrastructure, as attacks on public infrastructure primarily harm the people of Balochistan rather than the state.
Today’s killing of District and Sessions Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar and his guard, while heading to Mastung, is a direct attack on the judiciary and the justice system of the country. The attack on the judge by BLA represents an attack on the judiciary.
The attack on Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar was carried out by the BLA terrorist group, while the ISKP terrorist group claimed responsibility for it, which proved the nexus between the two terrorist groups.
ISKP has been declared a terrorist organisation by the United Nations, while BLA is not yet included in the list of terrorist organisations by the United Nations.
BLA is a terrorist organisation involved in terrorism, which should be immediately listed in the UN Terrorist organisations list, as both terrorist organisations are partners in damaging innocent lives.
The ISKP’s claim of responsibility for the attack on the judge has raised questions about the close connection between the BLA and ISKP terrorist groups.
The attack carried all the signatures of previous terrorist attacks carried out by the BLA, suggesting that the terrorist group intended to send a strong message to the judiciary, particularly following the sentencing of BYC activists.
It is also notable that the ISKP terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack within hours of its occurrence.

According to analysts, the ISKP may have been encouraged by its partner in terrorism to claim responsibility in an attempt to divert public attention—and the anger of local people—away from the BLA.
Analysts said that an interesting pattern appears to be emerging between the two terrorist networks—ISKP and the BLA: one carries out an attack, while the other claims responsibility. Just a day earlier, the BLA signalled a passenger bus to stop and then opened indiscriminate fire, killing five innocent passengers when the driver escaped by speeding away.
