RIYADH: The official spokesperson of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, on Friday said the coalition forces have destroyed three missile launchers used by the Houthis to threaten regional security.
“We destroyed 3 rocket launch platforms used by the Houthis to threaten regional security,” he said in a post on X.
“Houthi attacks on civilians and civilian facilities will be met with resolve,” Al-Maliki added.

Two attacks target Saudia aircraft
According to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA on October 8, 2026, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was targeted by two attacks, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The first attack targeted the airport’s facilities, while the second targeted a Saudia aircraft. Emergency response teams and the relevant authorities responded immediately in accordance with established protocols and the applicable emergency response plans.

The attacks resulted in the martyrdom of three Saudi citizens and injuries to a number of Saudi citizens and residents of various nationalities, ranging from minor to critical. All injured individuals were transported immediately to hospital for appropriate medical care. The attacks also caused some property damage.
GACA continues to work, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to complete the damage assessment, verify the safety of the facilities, and take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and personnel and maintain the security and safety of the Kingdom’s civil aviation system.
GACA also confirms that airport operations have resumed and air traffic has returned to normal.
Brutal attacks by Houthis
The Coalition spokesperson in a statement reiterated that the brutal attacks by the Houthis on civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia will not go unpunished.

Al-Maliki specifically mentioned the most recent attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha International Airport.
“Consequent to the recent Houthi attacks, the Joint Forces of the Coalition launched a comprehensive operation, destroying a total of 82 military targets belonging to the Houthi militia across the governorates of Saada, Al-Hudaydah, Al-Jawf, and Marib,” the spokesperson said.
“The targets included ballistic missile sites, specifically 11 mountain-based ballistic missile storage sites in Saada, command and control centres, communication systems, missile and weapons storage, and gathering sites for terrorist Houthi groups,” Al-Maliki said in a statement.
Grand Mosque Imam asserts Two Holy Mosques security a red line
Earlier, delivering Friday sermon at the Grand Mosque, Imam Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais condemned the attacks carried out by the Houthis targeting Makkah and Madinah, describing them as an egregious violation of Islamic law and international conventions.
He asserted that the security and inviolability of the Two Holy Mosques represent a definitive red line that cannot be breached.
Jordan slams Houthi attacks
The Jordanian Foreign ministry has condemned the two attacks launched by the Houthis targeting King Khalid International Airport, describing these acts as a flagrant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, a threat to its security and stability, and a blatant breach of international law and the UN Charter, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
It reiterated the country’s condemnation of attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its civilian and economic facilities. It affirmed Jordan’s absolute solidarity with and support for Saudi Arabia in all measures it undertakes to protect its security, stability, national assets, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The ministry expressed sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
Pakistan PM condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi airports
Earlier, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned Houthi attacks targeting two airports in Saudi Arabia, which killed three people and injured dozens, describing the strikes as a grave violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a threat to regional security.

In a statement posted on X, Sharif condemned what he called repeated attacks by the Houthis, including strikes targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha International Airport.
“I strongly condemn the repeated terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the targeting of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha International Airport, which resulted in loss of lives and injuries to civilians,” he said.
The prime minister commended Saudi Arabia’s armed forces and the coalition for intercepting ballistic missiles and protecting civilians.
