Rain-Wind, Thundershower Expected in Most Parts of Country

ISLAMABAD: In the upcoming twelve hours, meteorologists are forecasting a spell of rain, wind, and thundershowers across several regions of Pakistan. The Upper Punjab, Pothohar region, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir are expected to experience these weather conditions.

Notably, heavier precipitation is likely to concentrate in isolated pockets of northeast Punjab, the Pothohar region, and Kashmir during this timeframe. Residents of these areas are advised to remain cautious due to the potential for substantial rainfall.

In contrast, other parts of the country are expected to witness hot and humid weather conditions, making it crucial for residents to take appropriate precautions to stay cool and hydrated.

Temperature readings taken this morning indicate variations in different major cities. The thermometer stood at twenty-nine degrees Celsius in Islamabad, while Lahore and Peshawar recorded slightly higher temperatures of thirty degrees Celsius. Karachi experienced a milder twenty-eight degrees Celsius, Quetta a cool twenty-three degrees Celsius, and Gilgit a pleasantly mild nineteen degrees Celsius. In the hill station of Murree, the temperature was a refreshing eighteen degrees Celsius, while Muzaffarabad recorded a moderate twenty-six degrees Celsius.

Moving to the weather outlook for the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), the Meteorological Office has predicted partly cloudy skies with a possibility of rain, wind, and thundershowers in various areas. This includes Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, Baramulla, Jammu, and Leh. These weather conditions should prompt residents to remain prepared for sudden changes and to heed any official advisories.

Temperature readings this morning in IIOJ&K exhibited variations as well. Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramula reported a temperature of twenty-one degrees Celsius, while Jammu was slightly warmer at twenty-five degrees Celsius. Leh, nestled in the Himalayas, registered a cooler fifteen degrees Celsius, while Anantnag and Shopian shared a moderate twenty degrees Celsius.
