Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman has said that the government was committed to implementing electric vehicles policy in consultation with all stakeholders.
Chairing a meeting alongside Minister for Industries and Production Syed Murtaza Mahmood in Islamabad to review progress on the policy, she said that rickshaw and motorcycle users will be benefited on a priority basis through this policy and registration. She said that charging stations will be increased and other loopholes will be eliminated.
The minister said that concerns of private partners will be addressed prior to implementing the policy.
She said that the Ministry of Climate Change was coordinating with other relevant departments for amendments to the Electric Vehicle Policy.
