MARDAN: Unknown armed man shot and injured an employee of a medical store for refusal to give drug pills at College Chowk in the jurisdiction of City Police Station, Mardan here on Wednesday.
According to details, the armed man opened fire at the medical store employee after exchanging harsh words when the employee refused to give him drug pills. The employee sustained bullet injuries in the incident, whereas, the accused managed to escape from the scene after committing the crime.
Soon after the incident, police arrived at the crime scene and cordoned off the area to nab the culprit involved in the attack. The injured person was immediately shifted to Mardan Medical Complex for medical assistance. Hospital sources informed that medical treatment of the injured person is underway adding that his condition is out of danger.
Police has launched investigation into the incident to ascertain reasons behind the incident and arrest the culprit.
