RAWALPINDI: Pakistani security forces on Tuesday night killed at least 12 terrorists linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), said the ISPR on Wednesday morning.
On the night between February 7-8, a very successful Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) was conducted by the security forces in Lakki Marwat area. During the exchange of fire, 12 terrorists from the TTP were killed, said media wing of the military.

TTP under surveillance
It said the terrorists’ movement and activities were being monitored by the intelligence tentacles for the last one week. Terrorists were lured in by providing a vehicle for escape that was intercepted and neutralised. Weapons, ammunition and Afghan currency was also recovered from the terrorists during the operation, said the ISPR further.

Security Forces are carrying out clearance operation in the area. Locals have appreciated the operation and lauded the efforts of Pakistan Army in eliminating terrorism.
