GAZA CITY: Israeli strikes and gunfire killed at least four Palestinians, including a married couple and a 17-year-old boy, in separate attacks across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, Palestinian medical officials said.

Medics said an Israeli airstrike hit a residential apartment near Al-Shifa Medical Complex in western Gaza City, killing Akram Yassin and his wife, Dina.

The Israeli military said it had struck a militant in the area but provided no further details.

In southern Gaza, a 17-year-old boy was killed by Israeli gunfire near the Qizan Al-Najar neighbourhood in Khan Younis, medics said. Another Palestinian was killed by Israeli gunfire in the Zeitoun suburb east of Gaza City.

The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the two gunfire incidents.

Palestinians gathered at the site of the apartment strike before attending the couple’s funeral. Mahmoud Yassin, whose brother was killed, said the continuing attacks had made the ceasefire meaningless for residents.

“We’re supposed to be in a ceasefire period, but honestly, we are not seeing a ceasefire or anything,” he said. “The war is still going on, assassinations are continuing, and the shelling has not stopped.”

The latest deaths came amid continued Israeli strikes and shelling across the Palestinian territory.

Medical sources cited by Anadolu said Israeli artillery also shelled areas east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza on Tuesday.

On Monday, one Palestinian was killed and three others were injured in separate Israeli attacks.

An Israeli drone struck a gathering of civilians in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood of western Gaza City, killing one man and wounding two others. Another Palestinian was injured when Israeli forces opened fire towards tents sheltering displaced people southwest of Khan Younis.

Gaza health officials said Israeli fire had killed at least 1,522 Palestinians and injured 5,421 others since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025.
