ISLAMABAD: The massive hike in petroleum prices started to affect the common man immediately as the All Pakistan Public Transport Owners Federation (APPTOF) on Sunday announced a 10% increase in intercity fares.
It said in a statement that the participants of the meeting agreed that a considerable increase in petrol prices would destroy the transport system of Pakistan.
It further said that the fare from Lahore to Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Multan is up by 100 rupees, from Lahore to Gujranwala 50 rupees and to Sadiqabad 200 rupees. The fare to Karachi has been increased by 600 rupees.
