Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has strongly condemned an armed attack on embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran’s capital Tehran that killed one security personnel and wounded others, Arab media reported on Friday.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia expressed Riyadh’s complete rejection of all forms of violence and expressed solidarity with Azerbaijan and its people. The Kingdom called for the respect of diplomatic missions and awarding punishment to the attackers, SPA reported.
Officials said that on Friday an armed man stormed the Azerbaijan Embassy in Tehran, killing the head of security at the diplomatic check post and injuring two guards.
