TAIZ: Saudi aid agency, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has continued its humanitarian work in Yemen by carrying out the eighth phase of operating the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Taiz Governorate of Yemen from January 1 to May 31, 2026.
The initiative focuses on supporting people with mobility impairments through prosthetic and rehabilitation services, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Over the past 12 months, the project produced 300 new upper and lower limb prostheses and provided physical rehabilitation services to 3,900 beneficiaries.
In addition, 700 people received technical rehabilitation and maintenance services, while 3,100 beneficiaries were offered medical and technical consultations, improving overall access to comprehensive care.
The project also generated 50 local job opportunities, bringing the total number of beneficiaries served to 8,050. These efforts help strengthen the sustainability of rehabilitation services and enhance the quality and efficiency of care provided to patients.
