ISLAMABAD: Pakistani cyber warriors on Tuesday hacked the live broadcast of the Indian President’s speech on various Indian news channels and played Pakistan’s national anthem in retaliation for an attempted cyberattack on Pakistani broadcasters.

The retaliatory cyberattack targeted the live streams of Indian news channels TV9 Telugu and Freedom TV Live. The Pakistani cyber warriors replaced the regular broadcasts with Pakistan’s national anthem during the disruption, including while India’s President was addressing an event in Visakhapatnam.

The Pakistani cyber warriors’ retaliatory action has miserably exposed the Indian tall claims, as Indian firewalls have proven to be candy bars for Pakistani hackers.

The Pakistani cyber warriors hacked Indian digital media channels in response to the hacking attempt of Geo TV and SAMAA TV.

The Indian channel TV9 Telugu Live has over 14.4 million subscribers and hosts more than 509,000 videos. The channel is among the most popular digital news platforms in South India, particularly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The channel was hacked by Pakistani cyber warriors while the Indian President was addressing an event in Visakhapatnam.

During the breach, the channel’s regular content was replaced with the Pakistani national anthem, which remained on screen for approximately 5 minutes and 48 seconds.

Meanwhile, Freedom TV Live, an Indian digital channel with approximately 1.34 million subscribers, was also hacked by the Pakistani cyber team during the same period.
