Pakistan Armed Forces Felicitate Nation on “Youm-e-Takbeer”

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s armed forces have congratulated the nation on the 28th anniversary of Youm-e-Takbeer, Pakistan military’s media wing said in a statement on Wednesday.

Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf on behalf of Armed Forces of Pakistan, extend heartfelt felicitations to the proud people of Pakistan, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“Youm-e-Takbeer commemorates the historic achievement of 28 May 1998, when Pakistan emerged as a nuclear power and restored the strategic balance in South Asia,” it said.

It added this defining milestone symbolises the nation’s unity, resilience and unwavering commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty, territorial integrity and national honour.

“This historic achievement is a testament to the visionary leadership, remarkable contributions of our scientists and engineers, and the sacrifices of the Armed Forces and the people of Pakistan,” the ISPR added.

It further said Pakistan’s strategic capability remains a sacred national trust and a guarantor of peace, stability, territorial integrity and credible deterrence in the region.

The Armed Forces of Pakistan reaffirm their unwavering resolve to defend the motherland against all threats and remain committed to ensuring the security, stability and prosperity of the nation.

“On this momentous occasion, bowing in humility to the Almighty, Pakistani nation renews its pledge of unity, vigilance, resilience, and dedication for a stronger and prosperous Pakistan,” the ISPR said.
