KANDY: Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz achieved a notable landmark during the Super Eights encounter against England in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Despite Pakistan’s narrow two-wicket defeat to the two-time champions, Nawaz delivered a solid bowling performance, claiming 2/26 in his three overs. In doing so, the left-arm spinner completed 100 wickets in T20 internationals.

He now has 100 scalps in 97 T20I appearances, maintaining an average of 20.88 and an economy rate of 7.16.
With this feat, Nawaz became the fourth Pakistani cricketer to reach the 100-wicket mark in men’s T20Is, joining Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf.
