ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has extended the deadline for Hajj pilgrims to complete their mandatory biometric registration. Under the government scheme, aspiring pilgrims now have until February 17 to submit their biometrics for the visa process.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) had previously set February 8 as the final date for biometric submission. Following the passing of that deadline, however, the ministry issued a notification extending it to February 17 for those applying under the government Hajj scheme.
“All those government scheme pilgrims who were unable to get their biometrics for the Saudi Hajj visa till the appointed date, they are being given the last opportunity to get their biometrics completed till Feb. 17,” MoRA announced on Monday.
For convenience, the biometrics can be completed remotely using the ‘Saudi Visa Bio’ app or in person at any Saudi Tasheer Centre with a passport.
“Remember, this is the last chance,” MoRA warned. “If the biometrics are not completed, you will not be able to obtain your Hajj visa, and it will not be possible to leave for Hajj.”
Pakistan registers 179,000 Hajj pilgrims
In Pakistan, registration has concluded for 119,000 government pilgrims and 60,000 private pilgrims, said Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf.
He noted that preparations for Hajj were well underway in accordance with the Saudi timeline, with arrangements for food, transportation, and other essential services finalised through a competitive process.
Training sessions using audio-visual facilities were held at 147 locations nationwide, equipping pilgrims with the guidance needed to maintain discipline, safety, and awareness throughout their journey.
With these comprehensive preparations in place, pilgrims can expect a well-organised, safe, and spiritually enriching Hajj experience in 2026.
