ISLAMABAD: Global cricket fans can expect premier audio analysis, as the International Cricket Council (ICC) has finalised its elite commentary panel for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The council promises the line-up will deliver a ‘world-class viewing experience’ for the event, which is scheduled to be held across India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.

A commentary roster of legends and champions

Unveiled on Friday, the panel brings together iconic former players and contemporary experts to helm coverage on the ICC’s official platform, ICC.TV. The global broadcast feed aims to provide uniform, top-tier analysis for all international broadcasting partners.

Leading the microphone will be renowned broadcast voices, including India’s Ravi Shastri, England’s Nasser Hussain, New Zealand’s Ian Smith, and the West Indies’ Ian Bishop. They are set to be joined by a cadre of past T20 World Cup winners such as Australia’s Aaron Finch, India’s Dinesh Karthik and Robin Uthappa, Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara, Pakistan’s Ramiz Raja and West Indians Samuel Badree and Carlos Brathwaite.

The selection adds modern perspective through active internationals, featuring current South Africa Test captain Temba Bavuma and 2014 champion, Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Mathews. The extensive list also boasts cricketing royalty like Wasim Akram, Sunil Gavaskar, Eoin Morgan, Dale Steyn, and Waqar Younis. Esteemed broadcasters including Harsha Bhogle and Mpumelelo Mbangwa will further enrich the coverage.

ICC.TV is preparing an immersive broadcast suite for the 55-match tournament. The production will feature full pre-match and post-match analysis, in-depth interval segments, and daily highlight reels, following the action from the group stages through to the finals.

The ICC stated that this deliberately diverse and international panel mirrors the global reach of the tournament itself, with the goal of significantly enriching the fan experience worldwide. The tenth edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup will conclude with its final on March 8, 2026.
