RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s top military leader has reiterated the country’s strict stance against threats to national security, emphasizing the armed forces’ readiness, training, and commitment to safeguarding sovereignty during a visit to Lahore Garrison.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, underscored the Pakistan Army’s zero-tolerance approach to any threats against national security during his visit.
The Pakistan military’s media wing, ISPR, stated that Asim Munir received a comprehensive briefing on the formation’s operational preparedness, training standards, and initiatives aimed at enhancing combat efficiency.
He witnessed a specialized field training exercise showcasing the latest technologies, underscoring the Army’s emphasis on innovation and adaptability to match the dynamic future battlefield.
He also inspected sports and recreational facilities being provided to troops, highlighting their importance in maintaining physical fitness, morale, and overall well-being.
The COAS visited a High Care Center at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Lahore, commending medical staff for establishing a fully equipped, state-of-the-art healthcare facility.
In an address to officers, Field Marshal Munir emphasized upon Pakistan Army’s zero-tolerance policy towards any threat to national security, reaffirming the institution’s unwavering resolve to confront multifaceted challenges with focus, professionalism and determination.
Reiterating Army’s core mission, he noted that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain steadfast in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal stability, while fostering a culture of excellence, discipline, and selfless national service.
Upon his arrival, he was received by the Commander of Lahore Corps, marking the start of a high-profile visit focused on operational capability, troop welfare, and national security priorities.
