NEW CHANDIGARH, India: Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh endured a night to forget in the second T20I against South Africa, delivering a marathon 13-ball over that cost 18 runs and entered the record books as the joint-longest over bowled by a full-member nation in T20I history.

The costly 11th over at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, featuring a staggering seven wide deliveries, equalled the record for the longest over bowled by a full-member nation in T20I history.

Arshdeep matched the feat previously set by Afghanistan’s Naveen-ul-Haq against Zimbabwe in 2024, who also bowled a 13-ball over.

The left-arm seamer’s over surpassed the previous longest by an Indian, an 11-ball spell shared by Khaleel Ahmed (2024) and Hardik Pandya (2016).
