MUSCAT, Oman: Pakistan stormed into the final of the World Cup of Team Snooker 2025 with a 3–1 win over India in Muscat on Saturday, setting up a title clash against one of the two Hong Kong China sides.

Muhammad Asif and Asjad Iqbal delivered a composed and clinical performance to overpower the Indian pair.

The Pakistani duo won three of the four frames in the best-of-five contest, maintaining control through precise shot-making and steady tactical play.

India made a strong start when Pankaj Advani took the opening frame, defeating Asjad Iqbal 85–21. But Asif hit back immediately and turned the match around with an outstanding display.

His consistency and calm under pressure shifted momentum firmly in Pakistan’s favour, leaving India unable to recover.

India-1, featuring Advani, Brijesh Damani and Aditya Mehta, had entered the semi-final in good form after a 3–0 sweep of France earlier in the day.

Advani compiled a steady 54 break and Damani added a fluent 68 in that quarter-final win. But Pakistan’s disciplined approach proved decisive in the last-four clash.

On the other side of the draw, Hong Kong China claimed both semi-final spots.

Hong Kong China-1, represented by Chang Yu Kiu and Fung Kwok Wai, defeated Egypt 3–1, with Chang hitting a superb 106-century break.

Hong Kong China-2, Chau Hon Man and Nansen Wan, battled past Malaysia 3–2 in a close contest.

Pakistan will now face the winners of the all-Hong Kong semi-final as they chase the World Cup title.
