ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has turned down Bangladesh’s proposal to host a T20I tri-series in December, an official of the cricket board said. The series, which was to feature Sri Lanka alongside Bangladesh, was declined due to concerns over the players’ workload.
Several key Pakistani cricketers, including Shaheen Afridi and Babar Azam, are already committed to the Big Bash League (BBL) in December.
The 15th edition of the BBL, scheduled from December 14, 2025, to January 25, 2026, will feature 44 matches and include prime-time evening slots.
Notably, Babar Azam is set to make his BBL debut with the Sydney Sixers in the tournament’s opening clash against the Perth Scorchers at Perth Stadium.
Other Pakistani players involved in the BBL include Mohammad Rizwan (Melbourne Renegades), Haris Rauf (Melbourne Stars), Shadab Khan (Sydney Thunder), Hasan Ali (Adelaide Strikers), and Hassan Khan (Melbourne Renegades).
