Addressing the launching ceremony in Islamabad, Minister for Information Technology and Telecom Shaza Fatima said the initiatives mark a decisive step toward digital transformation and youth empowerment.

“These programmes will accelerate innovation, empower entrepreneurs, and position Pakistan as a key player in the global technology landscape,” she said, emphasising that the government’s focus is on ensuring a supportive and enabling environment for innovation and research.

The minister highlighted the rapid expansion of Pakistan’s IT industry, which she said is demonstrating remarkable growth despite global economic challenges. She added that the sector’s resilience and talent pool reflect the country’s potential to become a regional technology hub.

Officials said the new programmes will help startups leverage cloud technology, improve scalability, and attract investment while fostering public-private collaboration in the digital sector.

The launch underscores the government’s commitment to nurturing youth-led innovation, encouraging tech entrepreneurship, and steering Pakistan toward a knowledge-based digital economy.
