LOS ANGELES: Hollywood star Tom Cruise and Cuban-born actress Ana de Armas have ended their nine-month relationship.
Known for their on-screen and off-screen chemistry, the pair reportedly parted ways amicably, choosing to remain friends and continue their professional collaboration.
According to The Sun, sources close to the couple shared that while the romantic connection had waned, their mutual respect and admiration for each other remain intact.
“Tom and Ana had a wonderful time together, but now believe they’re better off as friends,” a source shared.
Both stars reportedly made the decision maturely and respectfully, choosing to focus on their individual careers and upcoming projects.
Their separation will not impact their joint supernatural thriller, ‘Dapper’, which is still in development.
The relationship drew public attention in part because of their 26-year age gap — Cruise is 63, while de Armas is 37.
Despite the split, Tom Cruise remains one of Hollywood’s most iconic action stars, with his Mission: Impossible franchise continuing to cement his lasting legacy.
Numerous social media users have held Scientology responsible for the separation. Tom Cruise is a follower of Scientology, a contemporary religion established by L. Ron Hubbard. The Church of Scientology believes that humans are eternal spiritual entities, known as thetans, who have lost awareness of their true identities over numerous past existences.
It is pertinent to mention that Tom was previously married to Nicole Kidman from 1990 to 2001 and later to Katie Holmes from 2006 until their high-profile divorce in 2012. More recently, he was linked to model Elsina Khayrova in 2024.
De Armas, on the other hand, dated actor Ben Affleck in 2020 and was last romantically associated with Manuel Anido in 2024.
