Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that Dhankhar was not personally informed about Union Ministers JP Nadda and Kiren Rijiju not attending the second Business Advisory Committee meeting at 4.30 pm on Monday (July 21, 2025).
While praising Dhankhar’s commitment to parliamentary norms and his balanced criticism of both government and Opposition, the Congress urged Prime Minister Modi to convince him to reconsider stepping down.
“We wish him the best of health but also request him to reconsider his decision. We also expect the Prime Minister to get Mr Dhankhar to change his mind. This will be in the nation’s interest,” the Congress leader Ramesh said.
