Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula One driver returning to the sport to mentor a rookie. The film was shot during real Grand Prix weekends, including Silverstone and Spa, using actual race footage for added realism.

F1: The Movie was made in collaboration with Formula One’s governing body, the FIA, and one of the producers is seven-times world champion Lewis Hamilton, MailOnline reported.

Cruise, a longtime motorsport enthusiast, appreciated Pitt’s performance and driving skills, recalling the time they raced go-karts together. “I can’t wait to see what he’s done with it,” Cruise said.
