ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet on Wednesday strongly condomed the terror attack on a polio security team in Buleli area near Quetta, Balochistan.
The Federal Cabinet meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The cabinet discussed several important issues. All the cabinet members expressed grief over the human loss in terror attack and offered Fateha for the martyred.
“The cabinet lauded the services of security officials, polio workers and all other stakeholders to make Pakistan a polio-free country”, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb told media after the meeting.
She said that the coalition government was working with a strong commitment to solve the people’s problems and ensure their well-being.
Rehabilitation of Flood Victims Government’s Top Priority
While discussing the rehabilitation process of the flood victims in the country, she said that the government was entirely focused on rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in the flood-hit areas.
Responding to a query, the minister said that it was unfortunate that a propaganda was made over the FIFA world cup broadcast rights for PTV. The inquiry into the matter has been completed and details would be shared with the media soon.
Cabinet in talks with FIFA management
She said that the government was in talks with FIFA management and hopefully PTV would be soon able to live telecast the world cup matches.
Marriyum Aurangzeb also talked about the recent resignation of the Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir Tarar and said that the prime minister Shehbaz Sharif did not accept his resignation. She said that Taraz has been requested by the cabinet members to withdraw his resignation. She added that the whole govt appreciated his competence and abilities and it wanted to see him on the post. –APP
