DOHA: Japan on Wednesday stunned the four-time champion Germany 2-1 in another sensational match in FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
Hansi Flick’s team dominated the first half but was totally remained unable to rein on the resurgent Japan. The German forward Ilkay Gundogan give the lead to his team with a penalty goal in the first half. But the substitute Ritsu Doan leveled the match in the 75th minute.
Just eight minutes later, Takuma Asano smashed the ball to the goal post and get the lead straight to the remarkable win.
Germany’s World Cup journey is in the doldrums now as it faces the much stronger teams Spain and Costa Rica in Group E.
