With the theme of ‘let communities lead,’ as designated by the World Health Organization for this year’s commemoration, the focus remains on empowering and mobilizing communities to take charge in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Leaders and dignitaries, including President Dr. Arif Alvi and Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, have emphasized the critical role of awareness and collaborative action in preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS. They have urged all stakeholders to actively participate in creating awareness and fostering a deeper understanding of the disease within society.
President Dr. Arif Alvi highlighted the necessity of collective efforts to combat the epidemic effectively. He emphasized the importance of reaching out to even the most marginalized populations and expanding the accessibility of healthcare services as essential steps towards ending the spread of HIV/AIDS.
