A damaged Red Crescent bus has been made into a ‘Dream Bus’ for children, giving them a space for educational activities.
A UN report published in June 2026 found that severe physical and mental injuries, mass trauma, orphanhood, separation, disability, repeated displacements, starvation, and the collapse of education and healthcare had “erased childhood” in Gaza and would continue to affect the children throughout their lives.
The UN inquiry said that during the first two years of the war in Gaza, more than 20,000 children were killed and more than 44,000 injured.
